Nettmann Systems dominates the 2010 Winter Olympics

When the Olympic Broadcast Services Vancouver (OBSV) needed the most advanced stabilized camera equipment on the market, they naturally called on the premiere camera support service provider ACS France. ACS France supplied superior image capturing services using a wide range of Nettmann stabilized camera heads for the 2010 Winter Olympic games. The need for stabilized camera equipment was so great that ACS France used the Nettmann Agent network and received other equipment from Helicopter Film Services in the U.K. and R-T-S in Germany.

At every turn, Nettmann gyro-stabilized camera heads provided the very foundation for the incredible array of images broadcast to viewers worldwide. The industry renowned Stab-C COMPACT stabilized head was used by Helicopter Film Services on a high speed track system supplied by ACS UK for the opening and closing ceremonies, while a large number of Nettmann stabilized systems were used for the Snowboarding Cross competition - a single event. Two long span Cablecams were image stabilized by the Stab-C COMPACT and PINPOINT, while three high speed rail systems provided by ACS France and R-T-S track systems, each used either Stab-C COMPACTS or Mini-C stabilized heads to provide optimal camera stabilization while shooting.

Viewers were treated to a bird’s eye view of the Biathlon event, with Cablecam providing overhead shots using the Stab-C COMPACT, while ACS France and R-T-S provided Stab-C COMPACTS and high speed rail systems.

The winter Olympics was a complete success and we thank ACS France and each one of our international agents for their continued service and dedication.
